TOPIC: Aircon problems

Aircon problems 15 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
I'm having trouble with my aircon. It turns on ok and cools well but the compressor turns off after awhile. I've had it regasses once and the problem was still there and I took it to another place and explained what happened and when we picked the car up he had regassed it and said it was fine. Obviously not! It sometimes turns back on

when you said regassed, did you mean you re charged with refrigerant? if that is the case you will have to write down the working pressures, and try to look the pressures when the compressor turn on and off. after that we can work with you problem. tell me everything you have done to yous a/c system. thank you

Further investigation with multimeter under the car reveilled that the compressor is getting power and a slight movement of the clutch engages it and the aircon runs again. Seems that I have a problem with the clutch.
