edwin you should have you compressor open to check if the pistons or flappers are messed up, probably they are. try to charge you a/c system and check if there is any pressure at all. if there is no pressure you will need to change the internal parts. any question or doubt just let me know. good luck
edwin hi, sometimes it's not the bearing, it just that the compressor is all messed up inside, that will need to open the compressor and verify the flappers and piston and maybe it will be more easy to buy a new compressor. good luck
mike black help. i have a 1997 honda civic DX ( non v-tec). i removed the compressor after hearing a bad bearing noise, found out that the clutch bearing was destroyed, so i installed a new clutch kit, belt, freon, oil, etc. after getting in 200.00 deep and re-installing averything, i find out that the compressors internal bearings are shot also( maybe). the reason i say this is because i installed a whole new clutch kit, and with the car running and the a/c OFF, there is no bearing noises, but once the a/c is on and the clutch is engaged, you can then hear the bearing noise.

is it possible that driving the car with the old clutch bearing going bad mad the compressors internal bearings go bad from the vibration?

i really dont have a lot of money left at this point. im in it about 200.00 and a new compressor would have been 300.00.

what are my options?
