TOPIC: too much pressure
#173
too much pressure 15 Years, 8 Months ago
1992 cherokee
when i am recharging, using a reliable kit from the auto parts store, the pressure reads well over 100. i checked the gauge on my newer car with good ac and it reads properly (45).
i emptied one and a half cans into the jeep...still no hint of colder air. the pressure reading high into the red is what i dont understand.
any thoughts on why this is occuring?
thanks for any help

make sure that the compressor is working properly, if the compressor activate properly, it might be the compressor flaps, the high pressure is going back to the low side and that is why you have a high ppressure reading on the low side.
this link may help.
